Philip (Vincent D’Onofrio) is an uncannily lucky gambler--and a magnet for every parasite and gold-digger in Las Vegas. He loves Louise (Rebecca DeMornay), but she’s out to defraud him, in collaboration with Jack (Billy Bob Thornton)--not to forget her past relationship with the deadly Wolf  (Michael Madsen). As schemes whirl within schemes, Philip retains an innocent, positive worldview--but even his faith can’t avert a final tragedy.
